Just a few short months since the VERY fun demolition celebration at 1428 Brickell, the previous building has been cleared away and the path is now clear to begin construction on Miami’s first solar-powered skyscraper. The City of Miami has issued the site work permit to YTech so they can get started on their construction, according to The Next Miami.

Michael Stern’s 81-story tower in Miami’s Brickell Financial District is moving forward according to court records. The Dolce & Gabbana-branded tower has won their first step of zoning approval from Miami-Dade County with an 11-0 vote.
According to the new site plan, the tower will be built to 81 stories with 259 residential units, just under 103,000 square feet of commercial space with retail, restaurant, spa and wellness center (gym) uses. There will also be 273 parking spaces.
